Earlier this month I interviewed an Occupational Therapist that built a sensory wall for a playground at the Winter Olympics. Apparently this is a common theme. At the same time, in a parallel universe known as 'Second Life', OT students from Jefferson School of Health Professions in Philadelphia were showing off their playground work.
Second Life, for the uninitiated, is an online virtual world where you can create people, places, and goods for fun or commerce. It's somewhere between The Sims, The Wall Street Journal and TRON.
I'd advise wearing protection if you're checking it out for the first time.
Big thanks to OT Connections for the link. To learn more about the student project check out the OT Second Life blog
